Hand-embroidered Hungarian "Matyo" ornament

$17.00

This lovely hand-stitched ornament is a great little sample of the famous Hungarian style of folk embroidery called "Matyo". The typical Matyo rose floral motif is hand-embroidered in shiny rayon threads on a natural wool felt background. The ornament measures about 4.5 inches at the widest and tallest points and is backed with red felt and stuffed. There is a red grosgrain ribbon attached for hanging. Perfect for Valentine's day, Christmas, or any time of year!

There are slight variations in embroidery colors between ornaments but all have the same motif.
